On 3 May 2018, the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation held a regular meeting.
As Member of the CEC of Russia Anton Lopatin said before the consideration of the agenda of the meeting, the CEC received an appeal from Coordinator of the Association of Observers of Tatarstan Dmitry Pervukhin, in which the applicant drew attention to the insufficient work of the election commissions of the Republic of Tatarstan on clarifying the electoral legislation, on functioning of the “mobile voter" mechanism, and on video surveillance procedures.
"Together with the Electoral Commission of the Republic of Tatarstan, we sorted out this situation. I note that the Republican Rommission organized a number of large-scale roundtables and other events, special attention to the elections was paid by the Public Chamber of the Republic of Tatarstan, on the election day a joint headquarters for monitoring the voting process was working. The circumstances that were mentioned in the appeal were not confirmed,” said Anton Lopatin.
On the candidature for appointment as a Member of the Sevastopol City Election Commission with the right of decisive vote
On 26 April 2018, the Governor of the city of Sevastopol signed an order on early termination of the powers of Alexander Petukhov, Member of the Sevastopol City Election Commission with the right of decisive vote, on the basis of his personal statement.
The CEC of Russia decided to invite the Governor of the city of Sevastopol to appoint Sergey Danilenko, Head of the Office of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation as a Member of the Sevastopol City Election Commission with the decisive vote.
"The public of Sevastopol requested to send an experienced person to the city to assist in the formation of the city's electoral system," said Chairperson of the CEC of Russia Ella Pamfilova, “This is a very important and honorable mission, requiring daily efforts, the ability to find compromises. It will be necessary to train people, organize, educate their Sevastopol personnel. It is hard to find a better candidate for this job."
