On 5 September 2018 the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation made a tour for representatives of the University of Vienna – students and teachers of the international summer school of the faculty of political science of Moscow State University.
Students had a meeting with members of the CEC of Russia Vasily Likhachev and Valery Kryukov. Vasily Likhachev told visitors about the readiness of the Russian electoral system for a single voting day on 9 September, and also about changes in the sphere of Russian election laws, international election standards and election observation.
Valery Kryukov highlighted the work of the Information Center of the CEC of Russia on the single voting day. He spoke about the peculiarities of the upcoming September 9 elections and the Center would display relevant information on the progress and results of the voting on the sites of the CEC of Russia.
At the end of the tour, the operation of the electronic means of counting votes were demonstrated to guests from Austria: electronic voting units, units of processing of ballots of 2010 and 2017 samples.
