On 16 January 2019, a Jury chaired by the Chairperson of the CEC of Russia, Ella Pamfilova, summed up and approved the winners of the Internet Olympiad among high school students of general education on electoral law and the electoral process.
203 pupils of the 10th grade and 222 pupils of the 11th grade from 84 constituent entities of the Russian Federation took part in the final stage of the Olympiad. The total number of participants in 2018, compared with 2017, has more than doubled – from 202 to 425.
The final stage of the Internet Olympiad consisted of two parts: a test of 30 questions and an essay. Based on the results of the completion of assignments, the Jury decided to recognize as the winners 8 participants who scored 44–45 points each (first degree diploma); 15 participants who scored 42–43 points (diploma of the 2nd degree); 42 participants who scored 40–41 points (third degree diploma). 353 participants who scored from 20 to 39 points, will receive certificates.
The results of the Internet Olympiad will be approved at the next meeting of the CEC of Russia.
The Internet Olympiad was held by the CEC of Russia in conjunction with the Russian Center for Training in Election Technologies under the CEC of Russia, the election commissions of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation and the Moscow State Juridical University named after O.Е. Kutafin (MGUA).
