On 8 august 2019 Member of the CEC of Russia Anton Lopatin took part in an enlarged meeting of the working group of the Temporary Commission of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation for the protection of state sovereignty and prevention of interference in the internal affairs of the Russian Federation.

The meeting was also attended by parliamentarians, representatives of the Prosecutor General's office of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation and the expert community.

The participants of the meeting discussed the facts containing signs of foreign interference in the purely internal affairs of Russia, in particular, in the elections to the Moscow City Duma of the seventh convocation.

Anton Lopatin stressed that the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation closely monitors compliance with the electoral legislation, and does everything possible to prevent any interference and violations of the electoral law.

"Traditionally, those wishing to discredit the elections in Russia act before a single voting day," explained the Member of the CEC of Russia. "With the single voting day approaching, the number of computer attacks on the portal of the CEC of Russia, which we promptly deflect, is increasing. SAS "Vybory" is disconnected from the Internet, so external interference in its work is impossible. The "Public Services" portal is attacked every day. This portal on 24 July commenced receiving applications for voting at the actual location using the "Mobile voter" mechanism."

The experiment on voting in Moscow at digital polling stations, according to the Member of the CEC of Russia, is also out of danger: "The technology of digital polling stations is similar to the voting with the help of electronic complexes, which have been used for 10 years already. They are connected to the SAS "Vybory", and here we have full confidence that there will be no interference."

Speaking about the second Moscow experiment on remote electronic voting at the elections of deputies of the Moscow City Duma of the seventh convocation in three constituencies, Anton Lopatin said that at the testing stage attacked from foreign servers on the portal MOS.RU have been identified.
