Central Election Commission of Russian Federation held 223rd meeting

On 23 August 2019 the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation held its 223rd regular meeting.

On the voting procedure at the digital polling stations

The Secretary of the CEC of Russia Maya Grishina said that in accordance with Federal Law, observers will work at digital polling stations in Moscow on the single voting day.

"The CEC of Russia prepared the relevant Explanations, so that it is easier for observers to work at the digital polling station and so that the order, time gaps and the form of voters lists are clear for the candidates, political parties and subjects of public control," said Maya Grishina. "The document contains all the features related to the organization of voting at the digital polling station."

The CEC of Russia approved the Explanation of the Procedure for Observing at a Digital Polling Stations in the Federal city of Moscow in the elections held on 8 September 2019.

"We are talking about an electoral experiment. In that respect, this document is fully consistent with the current legislation and the objectives of the experiment," said Member of the CEC of Russia Boris Ebzeev.

Maya Grishina noted that on the eve of the single voting day, the CEC of Russia intends to conduct training for observers.
