On 10 March 2021 a regular meeting of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation was held.
Opening the meeting, the Chairperson of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation, Ella Pamfilova, presented a collection of court decisions "Topical issues of the application of legislation on elections and referendums", prepared by the CEC of Russia.
On the Temporary Provision on the peculiarities of voting
The CEC of Russia has amended the resolution of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation of 16 December 2020 "On the Temporary Provision on the Peculiarities of Voting, the Establishment of Voting Results when Voting in Elections, Referendums for several consecutive days".
The Secretary of the CEC of Russia, Maya Grishina, explained that this Temporary Provision was applied to elections and referendums with the voting day scheduled no later than 30 May 2021.
"It was decided to extend the Temporary Provision for elections and referendums until 12 September. The practice of multi-day voting will be generalized and used in the preparation of the relevant regulations for holding elections on a single voting day on 19 September 2021," said Maya Grishina.
